Autumn Garden
I wanted this painting to feel like a collection of flowers and little things gathered from an English country garden as summer begins to turn into autumn. Bright dahlias, zinnias and sunflowers sit alongside grasses, seed heads and autumn berries in a simple earthenware vase. I love how flowers, berries and wild little details can come together without being too perfect. For me, it’s about capturing that feeling of the garden at this time of year — still full of colour, but with the first signs of autumn starting to appear.
