wanted this painting to capture a simple moment from the autumn harvest — a basket full of freshly picked apples, a few resting on the wooden table, and a linen cloth casually draped over the side.
I love the colours of apples at this time of year, from deep reds to softer green and golden tones. I kept the arrangement quite simple so that the apples and their natural shapes could be the focus, with the warm wood and woven basket adding to that cosy feeling of autumn.
